Our Daughters coaches/mentors consist of certified Six Sigma practitioners and life coaches that are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our youth. We will coach and educate our girls with the use of a popular process improvement methodology referred to as Lean Six Sigma (LSS).
LSS is used by many leaders to improve the quality of a process by identifying and removing the causes of defects (errors) and waste to build a “future state” that has more value added. It emphasizes quantitative measurement to ensure goal achievement and process improvement.
Using the LSS methodology, our coaches/mentors will review core competencies of life with the girls, and partner with their parents/guardians/mentors to help improve our daughters’ life experiences and choices. We will help the girls build their best personal “future state” and minimize non-value added factors in an effort to live their dreams.
**Please refer to isixsigma.com for more information about the Six Sigma methodology.
We follow the Lean Six Sigma methodology referred to as the acronym DMAIC.
DMAIC represents the following as applied to Our Daughers, Inc.:
Define: Perform assessment on core values, understand her goals, opportunities for success and define any potential negative roadblocks on the quality of her life.
Measure: Find ways to measure different factors that affect the girl’s ability to thrive in certain area of opportunity.
Analyze: Understand the dependencies, and find ways to improve any problem area and strenghten her skills
Improve: Coach to any desired changes. Encourage her to take action and charge of her life
Control: Monitor desired changes and ensure overall quality has improved. (This is through continuous mentoring)
Each girl will create her own personal vision board representing her best personal "future" state. We will have fun with our girls by having a "club structure" that will allow them to embrace leadership and teamwork skills as well as utilize their creative minds.
